Wasps

Wasps embody the tensions of transition.  They are unnerving and necessary pollinators.  A colony is system of collective care, but the queen begins each annual colony alone; wasps craft beautiful shelters only to abandon them.  These pieces grapple with change (emotional, bodily, or environmental) as unsettling, requiring collective care and separation, carrying on and changing course.
